Job Title: Senior Bid Manager

The role of a senior bid manager is pivotal in leading the bid team and overseeing larger bids that are complex or involve high volumes of work.

  • This position demands strong experience in managing, coordinating, and implementing the bid process successfully.
About the Role:

Key responsibilities include consulting on project management principles, managing all stages of bids, and ensuring quality control and risk mitigation.

  • Manage bid resources to facilitate deal strategies, solution architectures, commercial models, and delivery/service management plans.
  • Ensure understanding, documentation, and communication of risk exposure to stakeholders and appropriate mitigation.
  • Auditable trail of bid artefacts and records should be maintained.
  • Prior to client submission, ensure requisite team and management reviews comply with corporate governance.
  • Communicate effectively and responsibly with all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate sourcing of general bid collateral from authorized owners.
  • Create standard templates for less complex bids.
  • Review customer requirements to ensure proposal compliance.
  • Track Tender/RFP process and record strategic dates and information.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in bid management roles.
  • Strong experience in managing the bid process.
  • Demonstrated expertise in researching and collaborating with subject matter experts to create compelling proposals.
  • In-depth knowledge of elements contributing to bids, including geographic scope, solution scope, service scope, and commercial complexity.
  • Business acumen and financial understanding.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality work standards.
  • Ability to utilize key systems and tools related to bids.
  • Strong relationships with stakeholders across functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market developments.
