The RoleAs a Classroom Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of education programs for primary-aged students with special needs. Your enthusiasm and organisational skills will be key in providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
You will assist the teaching and learning process by leading small groups and developing resources. Reinforcing positive behaviours and social skills is also an essential part of this role. You will work closely with your colleagues to implement individual programs and outcomes, and support students in developing personal, social and independent learning skills.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining a tidy and clean classroom environment, supporting field trips and extracurricular activities, and participating in camps. Your ability to communicate effectively with your colleagues and engage with our school community is crucial.
