Job Description

The Director of Community Engagement plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and retention of membership, overseeing strategic communications and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement membership and communication strategies to promote the public profile.
  • Lead a team of two support staff - Membership Officer and Communications Coordinator.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support philanthropic and fundraising initiatives and promote policy and program work.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communication or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in marketing and/or communication, preferably in a membership-based organisation.
  • Ability to demonstrate increased customer engagement or grown customer/membership through a fully integrated media and communication strategy.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Understanding of cultural connections for communities.
  • Previous understanding of key systems.
