Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized care and support using a person-centred approach.
  • Create a positive atmosphere that promotes independence, dignity, and respect for individuals with disabilities.
  • Support participation in social and recreational activities, encouraging community engagement and building meaningful relationships.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans and support strategies, working collaboratively with clients and their families.
  • Administer medications and adhere to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability Support, Aged Care, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in disability support is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy, compassion, and patience when assisting individuals with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer literacy.
