As an Investment Risk Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Investments business area. Your expertise in risk identification, assessment, and management will be instrumental in helping us navigate complex financial markets and ensure the stability of our members' investments.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced risk professional to join our team. As an L1 Risk Specialist, you will report directly to the Divisional Risk Manager and work closely with front-office staff and the L2 Risk team to implement risk frameworks, track key metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing risk frameworks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Tracking key metrics and identifying trends to inform risk management decisions
  • Collaborating with teams across the business to solve complex problems and improve risk management processes
  • Developing and maintaining a sound control environment to mitigate potential risks

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Direct experience in investment operations or governance
  • Deep knowledge of Australian financial regulations and laws
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
