About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Practitioner/Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems Australia. As a key member of our Maritime Australia business, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality assurance activities to ensure quality practices are effectively deployed
  • Conduct quality internal process audits and health checks, and provide support with corrective and preventative actions
  • Provide coaching, advice, and support to stakeholders on quality assurance-related matters and processes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality policies, strategies, objectives, and processes
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a positive culture
  • Support and implement continuous improvement and quality assurance improvement activities
  • Contribute to the management and effectiveness of the Business Management System
  • Conduct quality investigations
About You
  • Quality assurance experience, particularly in shipbuilding, engineering, or a relevant field
  • Understanding of quality, safety, environmental, and asset management standards (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, and practices)
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to develop reports and documents
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build good relationships with stakeholders
  • Lead Auditor qualification or a relevant technical qualification, or maritime industry experience, highly regarded
