National Engineering Manager Position

Job Overview:

The National Engineering Manager plays a key role in overseeing facilities and maintenance engineering services to our network of DC facilities nationally. This exciting opportunity is part of an extensive food and retail supply chain network in Australia and New Zealand.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise oversight and support for F&M engineering services to the wider team in managing DC F&M operation, and risk and compliance elements. You will ensure that site facilities and assets are managed in accordance with relevant Australian standards and codes of practice; comply with local and statutory regulations; landlord and insurance requirements; and organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee facilities and maintenance engineering services to our network of DC facilities nationally
  • Provide subject matter expertise oversight and support for F&M engineering services to the wider team
  • Manage DC F&M operation, and risk and compliance elements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and codes of practice
Key Requirements:
  • Cert IV in trade or engineering or bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 8 plus years experience in the facilities and/or property industry, industrial preferred but not essential
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Technical knowledge of building/engineering trades (preferred but not essential)
