About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Consolidated Power Projects, a leader in high-voltage power solutions. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-voltage infrastructure projects, including transmission substations, wind farms, solar farms, and battery storage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing delivery and engineering support on high-voltage projects, including project management, design, procurement, site construction, quality systems implementation, and testing/commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with company and client quality policies and procedures.
  • Prepare tenders, project plans, and management plans, including ITP/ITCs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and execute RFQs for suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare contracts and monitor subcontractor behavior.
  • Update project programs using Microsoft Project.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor progress on behalf of the Project Manager.
  • Undertake project management tasks, including procurement, expediting, and reporting.
  • Ensure designs and client requirements are correctly implemented on site.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • General knowledge of the high-voltage infrastructure industry, including project management, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of MS Project and project management principles.
  • The ability to solve problems and make good decisions in a timely manner, consulting others when appropriate.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, communicating with designers, construction personnel, clients, and management.
