Senior Azure Cloud Administrator

Ultradata is seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Cloud Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and management of cloud services to ensure system availability, performance, and security of multiple cloud environments within Microsoft Azure.

This is a broad-spectrum role that may involve any or all of deploying and configuring Azure infrastructure, managing and implementing security measures, database management, project management, or complex troubleshooting and support tasks.

  • Provide advanced support for Azure-related issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions
  • Implement and support scalable, reliable, and secure Azure technologies that meet client needs and adhere to industry best practices. This includes setting up and configuring Azure infrastructure components like VMs, networks, storage systems, and managing services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure App Services
  • Leverage Azure portal and related tools to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, optimise systems, and ensure high availability
  • Leverage Azure-native tools and integrations (e.g. Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights) to implement observability solutions that ensure visibility into infrastructure and application health, performance and security
  • Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, system anomalies, or availability risks through metrics, alerts and telemetry data
  • Participate in capacity planning, health checks and operational reviews using data-driven insights to continuously improve platform performance
  • Manage the Azure platform's performance, security, and availability, ensuring that systems are available and secure
  • Establish and manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data integrity
  • Collaborate on planning and executing cloud migrations to Azure, ensuring minimal client disruption and efficient transitions
