Project Manager Opportunity

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee sector-specific capability building projects, identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnership, and contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and practices relating to project management.

We are looking for someone highly skilled and experienced in managing staff and projects as well as developing and maintaining strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of capacity building projects including projects for the Youth, Aging and Aged care, Mental Health, Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations sectors.
  • Implement strategies to improve processes, support good practice and outcomes for capacity-building projects.
  • Oversee multiple projects and support staff to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Pursue opportunities for partnership aligned with strategic goals.
  • Supervise and coordinate staff within the team ensuring allocation of responsibilities, review of performance and development needs.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher with substantial extension of the theories and principles learned through experience, or a range of management experience, or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and a team of staff.
  • A detailed working knowledge of research related to LGBTIQ+ health and wellbeing, and its implications for service delivery, policy and interventions.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills with experience in managing and leading staff to promote a cohesive and effective team and managing workflows.
  • Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
