Job Title: Sustainability and Procurement Lead

This leadership role is responsible for the effective coordination of procurement risk management initiatives and sustainability programs across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement risk management framework to monitor, manage, and drive procurement assurance.
  • Facilitate risk planning and review processes in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate modern slavery program initiatives and prepare board-level reporting.
  • Represent the organization on the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and develop implementation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for social sustainability initiatives such as Buy Local and supplier diversity.
  • Develop metrics and baseline reporting for procurement sustainability.
  • Assess opportunities for environmental initiatives in the procurement supply chain.
  • Implement Scope 3 emissions reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with corporate sustainability functions.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as procurement, science, engineering, business, or supply chain.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in procurement sourcing including managing contracts and suppliers.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sustainability programs desirable.
  • Knowledge of policy environment for social procurement including other impact measurement frameworks.
  • Practical experience in risk management preferably in procurement/supply chain.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Drive procurement risk management initiatives and sustainability programs.
  • Implement modern slavery program and RAP.
  • Develop and report on procurement sustainability metrics.
  • Collaborate with corporate sustainability functions.
