***About the Role**
Identifying opportunities for icare to become advanced in both ESG and commercial outcomes. It is liable for ensuring supply chains that icare utilises for corporate and Schemes' requirements are compliant with the NSW Modern Slavery Act 2018, and all other goods and services have the pillars of sustainable procurement embedded throughout the procurement lifecycle.

**Duties**
It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a **Sustainable Procurement Manager **you will:
- Work closely with the Head of Procurement Strategy and Policy to develop icare's sustainable procurement and savings and benefit realisation frameworks.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor sustainable procurement initiatives and supplier KPIs.
- Conduct research and implement circular procurement for icare's spend categories in cooperation with the Heads of Procurement Portfolios.
- Develop and implement icare procurement sustainability metrics for inclusion to the regular reports submitted to the Board Risk Committee and Office of the Chief Executive Officer.
- Represent icare Procurement in various whole of government committees and working groups.
- Develop recommendations on savings and benefits realisation from procurement activities and category plans.
- Provide expert advice to Chief Procurement Officer on opportunities for enhancement or continuous improvement of procurement processes.
**Skills & Experience**
- Relevant Qualifications - Tertiary or post graduate level qualification in business, sustainability or other relevant discipline or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical experience.
- Knowledge of various sustainability and circular economy principles, standards and initiatives in Australia and globally.
- At least 3 years experience in implementing sustainability initiatives in government or private sector, plus extensive general procurement experience.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional memberships to sustainability committees.
- Experience in developing metrics and evaluating KPI metrics.
- Experience in leading workshops efficiently, summarising outcomes and presenting conclusions.
