Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to drive digital transformation and lead the implementation of health IT projects within an academic institution.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to solution design, testing, deployment, and optimization of health IT systems across all phases.
  • Act as subject matter expert for specific health IT technologies, including electronic health records (EHR) systems, integration platforms, business intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, and point-of-care solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, expertise, and leadership to project teams, IT stakeholders, and clinical staff on requirements for successful implementation, configuration, adoption, and optimization of health IT technology.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with sharp analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Assess the impact of, and plan for change across health IT applications in collaboration with service management teams, integration specialists, clinical application specialists, architecture, and end-user computing to ensure effective delivery.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge base to enforce corporate IT standards and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and opportunities to innovate relevant to the hospital's IT environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of health IT systems, EHR systems, and integration platforms.
  • Excellent technical skills, with experience in solution design, testing, deployment, and optimization.
  • Subject matter expertise in specific health IT technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
