Job Opportunity: Project Officer

We are seeking an experienced Project Officer to support our research development activities across various sectors.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about advancing cancer control. As a Project Officer, you will play a vital role in leading and coordinating initiatives that build research capability, strengthen governance, and foster collaboration.

  • Coordinate and deliver research capacity building activities that engage the community and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Support the development of future workforce capacity through effective internship program management.
  • Maintain and enhance internal research systems to enable seamless access to information and tools.
  • Contribute to grant administration as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience and training.
  • Understanding of health trends, issues, policies, and practices at a state and federal level.
  • Demonstrated experience leading research development activities, including the development and implementation of organisational-wide initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to apply project management principles effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lead new research initiatives, driving innovation and fostering collaboration.
