About the Role

The Leading Hand will be responsible for overseeing the completion of projects on time, ensuring a safe site, and delivering a quality product to clients. This role will involve minor civil infrastructure works and urban development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OHS and environmental requirements
  • Coordinate plant, labor, and material resources
  • Direct and monitor sub-contractors, suppliers, and plant hirers
  • Control survey requirements
  • Monitor activity costs and compliance with safety and environmental requirements
  • Maintain compliance with construction programs
  • Report non-conformances and recommend remedial work
  • Maintain daily records of site activities
  • Ensure client quality expectations are met or exceeded

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction
  • Current driver's license
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Experience in minor civil infrastructure works and urban development projects
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to deliver high-quality projects within budget and program constraints
