Job Overview

This role is to provide analytical and technical support to both internal and external stakeholders across a range of system improvement initiatives in administration and management.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in systems or business analysis roles within the Australian financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure subject matter expertise in superannuation and the Apex platform.
  • Support UAT by preparing test cases, executing test scripts, documenting outcomes, and managing defect resolution.
  • Contribute to incident reviews by identifying root causes, proposing remediation, and updating system documentation.
  • Participate in ad hoc and scheduled end-of-year system reviews, legislative updates, and data transitions.
  • Engage internal teams and clients across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate with clients to identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements using industry best practices.
  • Ensure that all client deliverables meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform requirements gathering and analysis to support solution design and implementation.
  • Deliver system design specifications, configuration documents, and integration plans.
  • Configure Apex and related systems to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
  • Prepare and maintain technical and user documentation, including training material where required.
  • Contribute to scripting tasks including Acurity Architect or equivalent within Apex environments.

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in systems or business analysis roles within the Australian financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of superannuation administration systems, preferably with hands-on experience in Apex. Experience with Acurity remains advantageous.
  • Familiarity with UAT frameworks, including test planning, scripting, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Experience with incident management and root cause analysis, especially within production environments.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Confluence, JIRA).
  • Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislative changes to system configurations and business processes.
  • Willingness to contribute to cyclical and ad hoc reviews including financial year-end activities and compliance updates.
