The Gallery Attendant position is pivotal in enhancing Museum activities and providing programs and services that would otherwise be unavailable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guided tours of the museum are undertaken as necessary
  • Meet and greet visitors, engaging in interaction with members of the public
  • Visitor questions are answered as required
  • Direct visitors to suitable facilities (toilets, water fountains, seating, disabled access etc.)
Eligibility

Centrelink Volunteers, Skilled Volunteers

Commitment Period

Regular - longer than six months

Training Opportunities

Orientation, on-the-job training, and additional sessions

Time Required

Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm

Essential Requirements
  • Driver's Licence (Class C)
  • National Police Certificate
  • Working with Children Check

Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and excellent organisational abilities.
