Clinical Governance Specialist Role

This role is a fixed-term maternity leave cover position, with potential for extension, which involves providing guidance and support to senior stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop, implement, and review evidence-based clinical policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance to the clinical team to ensure adherence to quality standards and drive service improvement.
  • Analyse clinical data to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care, reporting findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Support leaders with advice and guidance on safe and effective clinical practices.
  • Conduct audits against Aged Care Standards, reporting on compliance and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Support senior leaders in preparing Accreditation and other submissions as required.
  • Establish and manage auditing and monitoring systems to support continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong commitment to excellence and demonstrated experience with aged care quality standards and legislation.
  • Previous experience in clinical leadership with the ability to act as a positive role model.
  • Proficiency in auditing, analysis, and critical thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to undertake duties at different locations as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • National Police Clearance and/or NDIS Worker Clearance (if applicable).
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's Licence (Car).
