**About your new role: Increase your take home pay with**
This 12-month fixed-term maternity leave cover role, with potential for extension, as the Clinical Governance Specialist involves providing guidance and support to the General Manager of Clinical Services and internal stakeholders. The primary goal is to improve the quality of care and allied health services offered to our clients. Furthermore, the role involves empowering team members to embrace contemporary clinical practices that align with BaptistCare's service delivery model.
**Duties**:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop, implement, and review evidence-based clinical policies and procedures.
- Provide expert guidance to the clinical team to ensure adherence to quality standards and drive service improvement.
- Analyses clinical data to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care, reporting findings and recommendations to the GM Clinical Services.
- Support leaders with advice and guidance on safe and effective clinical practices.
- Conduct audits against Aged Care Standards, reporting on compliance and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Support GM Clinical Services in preparing Accreditation and other submissions as required.
- Establish and manage auditing and monitoring systems to support continuous improvement.
- Work in accordance with Baptistcare's Code of Conduct and ensure compliance with Work, Health and Safety policies.
- The need for regular travel is required (potentially to regional sites)
**Skills and Experience**:
- Strong commitment to excellence and demonstrated experience with aged care quality standards and legislation.
- Previous experience in clinical leadership with the ability to act as a positive role model.
- Proficiency in auditing, analysis, and critical thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to undertake duties at different locations as required.
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Computer proficiency and adaptability to changing environments.
- Alignment with BaptistCare's Values and commitment to a customer-centric approach.
**Conditions of Employment**
- National Police Clearance and/or NDIS Worker Clearance (if applicable).
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
- Valid Driver's Licence (Car).
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the state as needed.
