Job Summary:

The Administrative Officer plays a vital role in the functioning of Mercy Hospital for Women, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to the clinical areas across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the clinical teams, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Offer exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, files, and databases, ensuring confidentiality and security.
  • Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the patient services department to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem-solve.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn and utilise new software systems and programs as required.
  • Flexibility to work across a number of shifts, including weekends and public holidays, with availability at short notice.
