Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Food and Beverage Attendant at Hop & Huddle, part of the Mercure Perth on Hay hotel. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take Orders and Serve Food and Beverages
    • Take orders from guests in a friendly and efficient manner
    • Serve food and beverages with a smile, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery
  • Provide Recommendations and Enhance the Guest Experience
    • Offer personalized recommendations on beer and wine pairings, smoked dishes, and milkshakes to enhance the guest experience
    • Upsell and promote our menu items to increase revenue and guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment
    • Ensure the dining and bar areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times
    • Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts
  • Collaborate with Team Members
    • Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest service
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve any issues or concerns

Requirements

  • Previous Experience
    • Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Knowledge of beer, smoked food, and milkshakes is essential
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Positive and team-oriented attitude
    • Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
