Job Role Description

We are seeking a caring and reliable worker to assist our clients in ensuring a safe quality of life while living in their own home.

This role involves assisting with daily activities, medication management, and promoting independence, all while upholding a positive wellbeing model of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, toileting)
  • Assisting clients with medication
  • Supporting domestic tasks and meal preparation
  • Offering social support, including transport and outings
  • Monitoring client wellbeing and updating care plans
  • Mentoring and training workers

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
  • Completion of key units: HLTHPS006 - Assist client with medication, HLTAAP001 – Recognise healthy body systems, CHCCCS031 – Provide individualised support
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a direct care role
  • Up-to-date and current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Comfortable with technology, including proficiency with mobile apps and care software
  • Current driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
