Diagnostic Cancer Sample Coordinator

We are seeking an organized and proactive Medical Laboratory Technician to support vital cancer diagnostic services.
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory, and we require a skilled individual with excellent analytical skills and initiative.
Main Responsibilities- The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating sample collection for somatic cancer DNA testing.
- They will perform laboratory investigations and tests, including manual and automated procedures.
- Additionally, they will prepare materials, maintain equipment, and ensure adherence to laboratory processes and protocols.
- Undertaking general administrative tasks, data entry, and result distribution to clinical teams is also a key aspect of this role.
- A Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution is essential.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, and Quality Systems.
- Strong customer focus, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are highly valued.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work in a team, and autonomously deliver results is critical for success in this role.
- Analytical skills, initiative, and commitment to quality management and continuous improvement are also required.
