Cancer Diagnostic Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to support vital cancer diagnostic services. As the key liaison between internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure timely delivery and retrieval of samples for somatic cancer DNA testing.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate sample collection for cancer somatic mutation DNA testing services.
- Perform laboratory investigations and tests following established methods and procedures.
- Maintain equipment in line with laboratory processes and protocols.
- Undertake general administrative tasks and data entry related to laboratory information systems and workflow.
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Knowledge and experience in delivery of pathology services, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines; work in a team and autonomously to deliver results.
- Strong customer focus with well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team contributing to cancer diagnostic services. You will have opportunities to develop your skills and expertise in laboratory technology and gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced environment.
