Medical Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive laboratory professional to support our cancer diagnostic services.
This role is hands-on with sample preparation, data entry into our centralised lab information system, and urgent result distribution to clinical teams.
The successful candidate will be the key liaison between internal and external clients, ensuring timely delivery and retrieval of samples for somatic cancer DNA testing.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate sample collection for cancer somatic mutation DNA testing service.
- Perform laboratory investigations and tests following established methods and procedures.
- Prepare materials and maintain equipment in line with laboratory processes and protocols.
- Undertake general administrative tasks and data entry related to the laboratory information systems and workflow.
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Systems.
- Strong customer focus with well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills and initiative to apply established principles in a pathology laboratory and resolve issues.
