Research and Engagement Fellowship

This two-year position is an exciting opportunity for a music professional to develop and implement a research strategy that addresses community needs. The role will involve leading engagement initiatives, building partnerships, and documenting the impact of music on creating healthier communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a research strategy in music and health that responds to community needs
  • Lead engagement initiatives connecting new communities with local music institutions
  • Build partnerships with First Nations communities, health professionals, educators, and regional partners
  • Document and share the impact of music and the arts in creating healthier communities

Requirements:

  • Established or emerging leader in music with a doctoral qualification
  • Strong track record in community-engaged, applied, or socially impactful music scholarship
  • Skills in creating engaging learning experiences and strong communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities, foster collaborations, and generate measurable impact
