We are seeking a highly skilled Duty Manager to join our Front Office team at Park Hyatt Melbourne. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of 18 staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the allocation and check-in of arrival guests, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
- Supervise and motivate the Front Office team to deliver exceptional service and meet brand standards.
- Handle guest complaints and internal customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Allocate rooms for the following day, ensuring optimal room utilization and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure the security and integrity of guest safety deposit boxes and complete relevant documentation.
- Assist in maintaining a high level of security for guests, staff, and hotel property.
- Delegation of tasks and responsibilities to staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Ensure all employees deliver the brand promise and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Duty Manager or Team Leader in Front Office within a four or five-star hotel environment.
- Proven experience in supervising, motivating, and training others.
- Diploma level or higher qualification in business, tourism, or hotel management is advantageous.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication skills with advanced proficiency in English.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Superior customer service skills along with excellent service resolution skills.
- The capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
- The ability to work well under pressure and possess a great attention to detail.
- The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5-star grooming standards.
- The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
