The Manager Community Aged Care role is a senior leadership position responsible for delivering high-quality compliant care across multiple regions.
This is a Full-Time Permanent position requiring an experienced Manager to lead Community Aged Care teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of team dynamics and how to achieve team excellence.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of care and support services and manage the operations of Community Aged Home Care Teams.
- To be aware of, and adhere to, relevant Statutory Regulations, Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct and Philosophy of Care.
- Ensure that Home Care operates in accordance with legal and ethical requirements of regulatory bodies, complete relevant documentation including claim forms, surveys, questionnaires, quality reporting and audits.
- Liaise, negotiate, and network with regulatory organisations, Medical Officers, ACAT and other service providers regarding HCP & CHSP.
- Create services with appropriate governance to ensure maximal safety and efficiency of services, ensuring compliance with regulations at all times.
- Collaborate across Aged Care leadership team and contribute to the growth of aged care services.
- Identify growth and funding opportunities and strategically plan for both.
- Ensure and coordinate all relevant legislative, regulatory, contractual and other compliance processes.
- Manage the planning and preparation of submissions to relevant regulatory authorities.
- Develop and maintain regulatory policies, procedures and compliance programs.
- Recommend changes to services specifications in line with statutory requirements.
- Identify risk areas and facilitate means to remove or better manage those areas by providing Compliance advice.
- Assist with risk management and risk reporting activities as required.
- Research and source industry information to ensure the group is at the forefront of regulatory management.
- Work with the Finance Team to ensure budgetary requirements are met.
- Meet HCP and CHSP monthly reporting requirements and outputs as per Grant Agreement/Activity Work Plan.
- A tertiary qualification in Nursing is essential.
- You must be a Registered Nurse with current Registration under AHPRA.
- A current unrestricted drivers' licence is required.
- A current NDIS Check is necessary.
- A National Police Check (considering relevance) is also required.
- Australian work rights are essential.
- Experience in the Health, Aged Care or Home Services Sectors or demonstrated understanding is preferred.
- Experience in client assessment, care planning and documentation is desirable.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a large team across multiple locations with a strong understanding of team dynamics is crucial.
- A thorough understanding of HCP and CHSP funding is important.
- Comprehensive experience in working in a flexible, multi-skilled team environment is beneficial.
