The role requires a strategic thinker to lead the development and management of product portfolios.
- Develop and own the strategic vision for product portfolios, considering customer needs and organisational objectives.
- Manage and execute initiatives aligned to the achievement of the vision, focusing on product rationalisation, performance, pricing, margin, and stock control.
- Act as the 'product owner' and thought leader, empowering individuals and the organisation to support proactive product planning and positive change.
- Develop data frameworks and consolidate data sources to build valuable product insights and facilitate data-driven decision making.
- Ensure all product development strategies adhere to relevant policies and legislation.
- Identify and monitor strategic risks related to product development and report any instances outside of tolerance.
- Develop required policies and procedures to ensure strong governance in relation to product portfolios.
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification or 5 years' experience in a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in product management with proven ability in delivering and managing successful product suites in a complex environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience reporting to an executive level role and preparing board-quality reports.
