We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our team in the Northern Territory. This role will ensure that our services and community efforts run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with policies and procedures.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be supporting our local Corps (churches and community hubs) across The Northern Territory, ensuring that our frontline teams can do what they do best - support people.
Key Responsibilities- Providing administrative support to Corps Officers during staff and volunteer onboarding
- Coordinating volunteer training to meet mandatory safety and compliance standards
- Maintaining accurate volunteer records and ensuring compliance requirements are met
- Processing invoices, reimbursements, and managing asset registers
- Liaising with IT, Payroll, and Finance teams to resolve local administrative needs
- A genuine passion for community work and excellent communication skills
- Experience in general administration, customer service, and strong computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail and experience with systems like Workday (desired)
- Ability to work independently, especially across multiple sites or remote locations
- Understanding of compliance in the not-for-profit or volunteer sector
- CURRENT Driver's Licence and ability to travel state-wide
- Required background checks (Police, Working with Children/Vulnerable People)
