Occupational Therapist Role Summary
Job DescriptionThe primary responsibility of this role is to provide comprehensive therapy services to patients within the occupational therapy department.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement evidence-based interventions that promote patient independence and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed clinical assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions, including training, education, and support, to enable patients to achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and discharge planning.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A strong educational background in Occupational Therapy, as recognized by the relevant professional accreditation bodies.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Sound clinical judgment, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
