Job Summary

The University of Adelaide is seeking a highly skilled Research Development Officer to join its Research Development Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in planning, managing, and monitoring the delivery of high-quality research grant support and services for the Arts, Business and Economics (ABLE) Faculty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality advice to staff on research grant administration issues, including interpreting and advising on complex documentation for pre and post award grants matters.
  • Coordinate and manage client-centric research grant programs in a complex research-focused environment, working collaboratively with researchers and key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and analyze information and issues to support the development of practical solutions and recommendations for effective client outcomes and the implementation of research projects.
  • Show initiative, instigate, and undertake tasks with minimum supervision, working effectively both independently and as a team member.
  • Prioritize tasks, plan actions, and work well to tight deadlines.
  • Communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner to deliver client-centric results.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality advice on research grant administration issues.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing client-centric research grant programs in a complex research-focused environment.
  • Ability to identify and analyze information and issues to support the development of practical solutions and recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, plan actions, and work well to tight deadlines.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner.
