About the Role

This is a Continuing Full time position available immediately for a Research Development Officer to join our team at The University of Adelaide.

Job Summary

The Research Development Officer will work as part of the Research Development Team to plan, manage and monitor the delivery of high-quality research grant support and services for the Arts, Business and Economics (ABLE) Faculty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice to staff on research grant administration issues, including interpreting and advising on complex documentation for pre and post award grants matters.
  • Coordinate and manage client-centric research grant programs in a complex research-focused environment, working collaboratively with researchers and key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse information and issues to support the development of practical solutions and recommendations for effective client outcomes and the implementation of research projects.
  • Show initiative, instigate and undertake tasks with minimum supervision and work effectively both independently and as a team member.
  • Prioritise tasks, plan actions and work well to tight deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner.
Requirements

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality advice to staff on research grant administration issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing client centric research grant programs.
  • Detailed knowledge of the University sector, funding of research and of related structures and processes in a research-oriented field.
Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $98,343 - $109,989 per annum, plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.
