Job Title: Strategic Financial Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial sustainability and strategic direction of our organization.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Partner with executive teams to deliver strategic financial advice and analysis.
  • Lead the development of long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and quarterly reviews.
  • Oversee financial performance reporting and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, accounting standards, and organizational policies.
  • Mentor and support finance staff.

You will work closely with senior leaders to align financial planning with organizational objectives, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and mentor finance staff. Your ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights will help shape the future of our organization.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly.
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial systems is highly desirable.
  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in local government or the public sector is an advantage.
