As a Senior Mental Health Clinician at headspace Melton, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mental healthcare for young people. Located in the heart of Melton, this dynamic position offers an incredible opportunity to lead a team of dedicated professionals and drive service development initiatives.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as psychology, social work, or occupational therapy, and have full registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration with AASW. Proven leadership and supervision experience within a multidisciplinary team is essential, along with extensive experience in mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and evidence-based treatment for young people facing mental health challenges.
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational management, supervising staff, and driving service development initiatives. Your passion for making a difference in the lives of young people will shine through in your ability to provide comprehensive intake, assessment, and consultation services to young people, families, and professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire: Oversee youth-friendly early intervention services, ensuring the Mental Health Clinicians operate within Orygen's values and strategic direction.
- Drive Clinical Excellence: Lead intake, assessment, and clinical services, supporting staff in workload management, professional development, and welfare.
- Support Young People: Provide comprehensive intake, assessment, and consultation to young people, families, and professionals.
- Foster Collaboration: Coordinate smooth intake and referral processes, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Innovate and Develop: Deliver evidence-based brief interventions and lead group interventions to help shape service development and community awareness.
What You'll Get:
