Job Title

The Housekeeping Department Lead is accountable for fostering a productive environment within the housekeeping team. They oversee operational and financial outcomes, efficiently allocate rooms to rostered staff members on shift, ensure stringent adherence to chemical safety and Workplace Health & Safety protocols, and consistently strive to surpass guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and train the housekeeping team
  • Oversight of departmental operational and financial performance
  • Effective room allocation for rostered team members
  • Ensure safe handling of chemicals and adherence to health and safety standards
  • Consistently exceed guest expectations
  • Work independently while maintaining strong interdepartmental relationships
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Maintain accurate records of training and cleaning

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a senior housekeeping role
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multitask efficiently
  • Able to motivate and train the team
  • Flexibility to work over seven days, including weekends and public holidays, with a minimum of four days per week starting at 8:00 am
  • A genuine concern for team and guest well-being, recognizing individual strengths and abilities
