Overview

Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 - Emergency Department role at NSW Health – Narrabri District Hospital. Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until September 2026. Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for emergency care and clinical leadership? Narrabri Health Service is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (ED) to join our busy and supportive Emergency Department team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Support and encourage professional and career development across the team.
  • Work on a rotating roster in a busy, diverse Emergency Department.
  • Access travel support for professional development where appropriate.
About You
  • Authorised to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years\' experience in the Emergency Department of their specified post-graduate qualification in Emergency Nursing, or equivalent qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
  • Eligible to drive in NSW with a current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability/willingness to travel for work (may involve long-distance driving).
  • A team player and clinical leader who leads by example.
  • A critical thinker with strong decision-making skills in emergency care.
  • Passionate about supporting colleagues' growth and development.
  • Committed to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
