Public Health Specialist Opportunity

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in Central Australia. As a Public Health Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles and prevent disease.

Salary: $100,210 - $119,925 per annum, plus generous benefits package including six weeks annual leave and relocation assistance (where applicable).

About the Role

The Tackling Indigenous Smoking Coordinator leads the team in developing, promoting, implementing, and evaluating health promotion activities programs to prevent the uptake of smoking and to promote smoking cessation among Aboriginal people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health promotion strategies to reduce smoking rates among Aboriginal people
  • Lead the TIS team to deliver effective health promotion programs
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
