About the Role

The Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) Officer plays a vital role in implementing local health promotional activities with a focus on indigenous smoking initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health promotion strategies targeting indigenous smoking prevention and cessation.
  • Collaborate with community groups, healthcare providers, and government agencies to leverage resources and expertise.
  • Design and deliver engaging workshops, training sessions, and educational programs for various audiences.
  • Analyze data and evaluate program effectiveness to inform future strategy and resource allocation.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in health promotion, community development, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of indigenous health issues, cultural sensitivities, and community engagement principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.

We offer a competitive salary package, including:

  • Base Salary: $74,470 – $82,855 per annum.
  • Total Effective Package: $93,499 - $102,934 per annum.*
  • Full Time, Maximum Term Contract until 30 June 2026.
