Job Description

This is a position within the Actuarial system team which has responsibility to assist Finance business areas for performing system changes required for ongoing BAU development and enhancements of actuarial systems in support of liability and capital valuations, embedded value, and business planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Actuarial System team in the design, build, test and implementation of Actuarial projection models (using the prophet enterprise platform) to meet additional model requirements from strategic project impacting finance analysis, reporting and operational processes.
  • Analyse and specify data requirements (variable names, formats, attributes) for prophet model inputs and outputs.
  • Modify DCS processes to maintain system integration points in line with model changes.
  • Contribute to the build and implementation of data flow process interacting with the IDR (Insurance Data Repository for Prophet model inputs and outputs) to meet IFRS reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Actuary (or nearly qualified)
  • 7+ years life insurance experience
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Prophet (programming language and software operation)
  • Strong technical skills in programming and data analysis
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to sense check complex results
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to understand computer programming good practice
