About the Role

At Tal Services Limited, we are seeking an experienced Actuarial System Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Actuarial Systems team, you will be responsible for supporting the design, build, and implementation of actuarial projection models using the Prophet Enterprise platform.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in actuarial systems, data analysis, and programming, with excellent problem-solving skills and experience working with large datasets. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing technical specifications, performing system testing activities, and deploying approved changes to production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Projection Modelling: Prepare and review technical specifications, perform Prophet developments, and document system testing activities.
  • Data Management: Analyze and specify data requirements for Prophet model inputs and outputs, modify DCS processes, and contribute to the build and implementation of data flow processes interacting with the IDR.
  • Finance System Support: Provide assistance with actuarial system incidence management and resolution, support and train end-users, and manage the availability, capacity, and performance of actuarial systems.
Requirements
  • Qualified Actuary (or nearly qualified)
  • 7+ years of life insurance experience
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Prophet (programming language and software operation)
  • Strong technical skills in programming and data analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to sense-check complex results
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to understand computer programming good practice
