Leading In-House Legal Expert

A unique opportunity has arisen for a legal expert to join an in-house team as a key member of a national legal group.
Your Responsibilities:- Provide strategic and complex advice to internal stakeholders on stakeholder management.
- Monitor legislative/regulatory changes and provide proactive advice to the business on potential issues affecting strategy, operational requirements, or business processes.
- Develop training programs for key stakeholders to enhance their understanding of legal constraints and opportunities.
- Provide regular insights and reports to senior management on legal matters impacting operational requirements.
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to their professional growth.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ideal experience: 6 years PQE gained within a leading law firm or financial services organization.
- Previous insurance law experience including knowledge of general insurance products, licensing requirements, and regulatory bodies such as ASIC, APRA, and AFCA; general commercial contracts; and advisory services.
- Commercially astute with strong project management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
