We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to join our team at DP World Australia Limited. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Container Park operations and play a key role in ensuring the profitable and timely movement, repair, and maintenance of containers.
Key Responsibilities- Repair Management: Ensure the repair bay runs efficiently, meeting operational needs while remaining cost-effective.
- Container Repair and Maintenance: Ensure containers are washed and repaired to customer standards.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, and training for direct reports, and supervise employees to ensure they are adequately trained and assessed as competent to safely perform their duties.
- Survey and Quality Control: Ensure Surveyors meet KPIs, are aware of customer requirements, and manage Surveyor rosters to ensure coverage where required.
- Contractor Management: Oversee Repair Contractors on site to ensure safety procedures are followed and work is completed as per Company direction.
- Qualifications: Related trade qualification, such as welding or engineering experience, is advantageous but not required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in surveying and workshop management, with strong Containerchain Work Order module understanding.
- Skills: Team leadership experience, experience using shipping line systems, and ability to demonstrate COVID-19 vaccination status.
