Job Opportunity: Environmental Health Professional

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Health Professional to join our team and contribute to the health and wellbeing of regional communities.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience, build knowledge, and support local councils affected by floods. You will be responsible for providing environmental health service provisions to protect and promote community health and wellbeing.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate customer complaints and conduct inspections under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act
  • Conduct Food Act inspections and develop Mosquito Management plans
  • Provide health promotion support and implement programs to enhance community health
  • Engage with customers and set expectations for service delivery

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Suitable Qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science or Health Science (Environmental Health) or recognised equivalency
  • Recent Experience: recent public sector experience as a practicing Environmental Health Officer or membership with Environmental Health Australia
  • Other Requirements: current Victorian driver licence and ability to work in Regional Victoria with accommodation costs covered
