About the Position

As a Team Leader Public Health, you will provide critical guidance and support to deliver high-quality public health services.

  • Provide leadership and support to Environmental Health Officers to ensure they maintain a high standard of professional conduct, customer service, and technical expertise.
  • Undertake internal audits of Officer Inspections and investigations to verify compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Manage difficult complaints effectively and identify practical solutions or negotiate positive outcomes with relevant parties.
  • Review Officer legal proceedings and manage case work when deemed appropriate.

About You

  • You will have a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Health Practice or equivalent qualification, along with membership eligibility with Environmental Health Professionals Australia.
  • Have extensive experience working in Public Health Services and understand relevant legislation.
  • Possess high-level technical knowledge for Public Health service provision and communicate clearly and confidently.
  • Be able to problem solve and think strategically to improve public health outcomes.
