Sanitation Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable sanitation professional to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across healthcare facilities. The role requires maintaining compliance with infection control and workplace health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and staff areas.
- Dispose of waste and hazardous materials safely following infection control procedures.
- Restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and hand sanitizers as needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Follow specific cleaning schedules and infection control guidelines in healthcare settings.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Assist with ad hoc cleaning tasks as requested by the management or healthcare staff.

Requirements:

- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in healthcare, aged care, or commercial environments.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and safe handling procedures.
- Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards in healthcare settings (training can be provided).
- Ability to follow cleaning protocols and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including standing for long hours and lifting moderate weights.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.

Working Conditions:

Cleaners may work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, aged care facilities, clinics, and private residences. The role involves regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long hours.

Benefits:

- Competitive hourly rate: $32.00 - $60.00 per hour
