About the Role

We are seeking multiple Construction Managers to join our Rail Operations team in Sydney and Perth.

Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O'Rourke, specialising in the delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the conversion and design elements of a project to ensure delivery of the overall project scope within time, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Providing support to the Project Manager/Project Leader to ensure client expectations are managed.
  • Day-to-day management of all authorities and utilities interactions across the various phases of the project.
  • Engaging cost planners as required to develop an overall cost plan for the project, then working with them to develop the design in accordance with the project budget.
  • Identifying and understanding key risks and opportunities in all aspects of the project to optimise Laing O'Rourke's position.

About You

  • Degree in Engineering is preferred, with a focus on Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Management, or equivalent. Experience in delivering projects with multi-stakeholder interfaces.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Rail Communications sector.
  • Knowledge of Railway Engineering standards and specifications.
  • Knowledge of modern communications technology.
  • Knowledge of Communications Principles.
  • Experience in the Rail Industry.
