**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at GenesisCare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
- Interact with patients and families, providing education, wound management, and medication administration.
- Effectively manage nursing patient load, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication with doctors, patient services, physics, and radiation therapy staff.
- Provide patient feedback to doctors and radiation therapy staff, contributing to continuous quality improvement.
- Ensure all patient episodes of care or interventions are documented, communicated, and actioned.
- Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice nursing standards.
- Ensure medication management protocols are followed, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Establish communication for allied health services using ISBAR communication tool, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Comply with patient handover procedures as per ISBAR communication tool, ensuring continuity of care.
- Support the clinical introduction of new medications/drugs and nursing products, demonstrating knowledge and application in the patient care setting.
**Requirements**
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Experience in radiation oncology is preferred, but not essential, as we provide training as needed for the successful candidate.
- Clinical experience as a nurse with demonstrated understanding of oncology and ability to liaise with allied health care.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to demonstrate empathy for patients.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
- Strong commitment to quality patient care.
- Commitment to or evidence of continuing professional development.
- Wound care management experience.
- Ability to use electronic clinical administration systems, as well as MS Office.
