Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at IPAR. The ideal candidate will have a professional background in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, or Social Work.

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological. Your primary goal will be to support clients in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Case management and caseload management
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals
  • Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
  • Assisting clients with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
  • Completing assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents
Requirements
  • A qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or Physiotherapy
  • Registration with AHPRA or ASORC or ESSA or AASW or relevant governing body
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry highly regarded
  • Fabulous communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • A current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
