Medical Advisor Opportunity in Partner Markets

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Advisor to contribute to the development of our Medical Affairs organization in Partner Markets. This role will be responsible for assessing the external and internal environment, implementing strategic plans to establish and evolve local Medical Affairs teams and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute regional Medical Affairs plans that meet business priorities for Infectious Disease, including scientific exchange, clinical trials, and real-world evidence support, post-licensure research, publication plans, investigator-sponsored studies, and knowledge transfer activities.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY SCIENTIFIC LEADERS TO ADDRESS CURRENT AND ANTICIPATED NEEDS.
  • DEVELOP AND FOSTER RELATIONSHIPS WITH EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS TO GENERATE DATA ON INNOVATIVE MEDICINES AND VACCINES.
  • SUPPORT MEDICAL EDUCATION CAMPAIGNS, SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARDS, KOL ENGAGEMENTS, WEBINARS, AND PRESENTATIONS TO DEVELOP A SCIENTIFIC ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY FOR PARTNER MARKETS.
  • PARTICIPATE IN OUTCOMES RESEARCH/HEALTH ECONOMICS ENGAGEMENTS WITH NATIONAL PAYERS, HEALTH TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT OR REGULATORY AGENCIES, IN COORDINATION WITH REAL-WORLD EVIDENCE, MARKET ACCESS, AND COMMERCIAL COLLEAGUES.
  • MANAGE COMPASSIONATE USE REQUESTS, PRE-LICENSURE PATIENT ACCESS PROGRAMS, PATIENT ACCESS/SUPPORT PROGRAMS, AND SIMILAR ACTIVITIES.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree, PhD or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline. Additional advanced degrees (e.g. MD) are highly valued.
  • Demonstrated experience in global pharmaceutical industry in Clinical Development and/or Medical Affairs with a proven track record.
  • Experience in vaccines is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to have peer-to-peer discussions with disease-state experts to assess evolving standards of care for patients as well as research opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the Partner Markets compliance environment.
  • Effective project management and organizational skills, including ability to set goals and align priorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong willingness to collaborate with other functions, leveraging network to pressure test own hypotheses and solutions.
  • Track record of navigating ambiguity by intuitively making connections and staying open to learning, experimenting, and growing accordingly.
  • Fluency in English.
